Being a stupid American, I really want to make some kind of lame quidditch joke, but I don't want to diminish your accomplishment, so I'll just say congratulations!

Aye! Congrats, lank! :D

how's that for coincidence. i just recently bought the "australian indoor-rules quiddich" t-shirt from mac hall (on its last call, and mostly already gone). and i'm sure some out there would consider what i do magical, so it wouldn't be inappropriate.

cheers. :)

Congratulations lank! You are now certified to lead us in MWC 2009. I was a little concerned about your bacon grades and stampede thesis, but...you came through in end.

Cheers bud!

Congratulations, lank! I love that photo!

I have to admit, my first thought was that it looked like something out of Harry Potter as well. There is just no architecture like that around here. Ivy League campuses maybe, but I'm in the Redwood League (there really is no such thing, but that's what we have around here.)

sydney uni is the oldest university in australia. its main quadrangle is modelled on prestigious halls and universities in the UK, so it's quite a sight. there are a couple of other large sandstone buildings here and they do a lot for the campus, which has been getting a bit of a makeover.

as long as they eventually do something (like get rid of) carslaw building it'll be great. the only thing more ugly than the outside of carslaw, they say, is the inside. admittedly that shot's of one of its least flattering aspects. it's also been my "home" at uni since i ditched physics and went with maths. :(
