Voyager 1 just keeps on ticking...

Voyager 1 still providing new scientific information after all these years.

It is so far away now that at 186,000 miles per second it takes 16 hours for a command to reach it! Dang.

man i could never plan that far ahead. "ok, in about 16 hours you will want to take a right"


on a somewhat related note, if you've ever noticed Nasa's "Picture of the Day" here's a couple of ways you can download the whole archive in a single step (one is a torrent, the other is a command line wget 'script')
