Ahem, that's not an "avatar" it's an actual photo of me.

Unlike some (insecure) people who feel the need to improve their appearance online by posting pictures of more attractive strangers *cough* *cough* BAAK *cough*, I, sublimely secure in the beauty of my physical appearance, feel no such compunction.

Well in case you ever do need a new avatar (cough, cough) I've put some up in a dedicated gallery you can choose from (in your profile do Show Gallery).

I'll add more if/when I can find some.
