I made this OmniPatch Guide to encourage the use of it. Enjoy.

THanks Pyro - I had fiddled around with pluginpatcher back in the day, Omnipatcher sounds like a good tool. Now if only mapmakers would consider us lowly modem users and create patches instead of just releasing 40M incremental releases....

btw: I would like to add this to the myth graveyard - I usually enter the text with images into the standard MG layout (white background. black text) - If I do this I add a link to the original source of the article (http://www.geocities.com/kingpyrro/OmniPatch_Guide.html in this case).

Is it ok with you if I add the article in the standard format and link to your original page or would you prefer just a placeholder page with a link to the article?

Looks great Pyro! :)

I think we should launch a "Let's Get Vinylrake on DSL" site somewhere and see if we can raise enough public awareness so the phone/cable/whatever companies suppy it for him for free.

I mean... what the heck is the web for, anyway? :)

Sure thats fine, this way if something happens to my page in the future the info on your site will still be there to help. I made it look the way I did so it may look interesting for readers instead of plain text file. As long as the info is somewhere I don't mind if its my version being used as long as people read it.

I just got frustrated from seeing so many people not knowing or willing to learn to use OmniPatch. Which then stops them from beta testing sometimes or takes them even longer to download the newer full version of the plugin. You get people who download the omnipatch and say it didn't work. The first time I heard that I actually thought they used it and failed in making it work. Turned out they just place the omnipatch in their plugins folder. :?

Gee, I hope my new map I am tentatively calling "OmniPatch 2.0" isn't going to cause any confusion in the community...
