Heya, princepawn. I do have such a beast.

The current public version has a tiny glitch in it if your Myth II installation is whacked (for example, copying it to a folder tree rather than running the installer) that I am working on, but the film saving portion works great. You can always manually browse to your recordings folder if you run into this glitch for now.

You can grab the Film AutoSaver installer here. I'll post again here when I have the update ready (likely in October).

Once installed, just treat the Film AutoSaver like a recording device:
  • Start it before you run Myth
  • Close it after you exit Myth
otherwise you may miss the first/last recording.

That's it. Let me know if it works for you, what you think, etc.

I'm going to get this app and other stuff on a new downloads page - a project that was going to be done in Summer has now become a Winter one. ;)

Great, I have it installed. I had to google around a bit for the bit of info I always need - how to get programs to run on startup.

I created a shortcut to your FAS and sent it to the desktop.

Then I opened Windows Explorer to:
C:\Documents and Settings\$USER_NAME\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and then I dragged the shortcut in there. So it will start before Myth does.

Now we will see how it works!

That will actually cause FAS to launch at system startup (i.e. when you boot the machine).

What I was talking about is when you want to record films, you start the app and then Myth II.

Then exit Myth II and finally exit FAS to be sure you get all your films.

Does that make sense? :)

Yeah, but maybe ALL he uses his computer for is playing Myth. In that case he WOULD want to start up FAS at startup.
