More myth links...

Talk about Myth, other games and anything else (within the rules)

Ok - now I've really updated the page. Cleaned out a few definitely dead links, but still left a couple. Added in a few more. Made it load a little faster, put rudimentary links on top, etc.

Should be more useful now. :)

A link I am sure is on your list of sites to add.

Thanks, VR - some good stuff in there.

Wonder if Frumius ever noticed the Catapult in Hexographica? I have never played this tagset. Hmmmm... perhaps another candidate for tweakage?

Finally got around to doing a comprehensive update to the Mything Links page. :)

I took all the original hard-coded (aieeee!) information, extracted it, delicately brushed away the encrusted dirt, and now have it all database-driven and easy to modify/re-order.

And for you geeks in the audience, I even wrote a PHP script that automatically goes through the links, makes any failed links inactive (grays them out), and even substitutes new URI's for redirects to keep it all up to date. Yowza. I still went through them all and thinned out the really old/unused ones, while leaving some up even though they don't have any current link. I've also re-organized things and put an "Essentials" list of links at the top. And to be even more uber-geeky, the whole page is XHTML 1.0 Strict / CSS 2.1 compliant and about 80% smaller.

All-in-all I believe it is very complete and comprehensive, but I'm always looking for new Myth-related sites and any information on relocated sites (sadly I think most of the dead ones are dead for good).

Cheers. :)

The MWC link at the top of the OoH Downloads page is busted.

oops, also on the Main Page, and prolly anywhere that collection of links from the top of those pages is.

Yeah, there are a bunch of pages with the old menu that are broken. Fairly involved to get them all correct, but I'm planning on it soon(tm). :)

WHAT? You are XML compliant and use self-checking, dynamic SQL to build your links page, but you have HARDCODED menus? Shame on you! At least use php includes for your common page elements. ;p

Heh - well, that's the problem. Right now a whole bunch of pages are from the old format (strictly .html) and converting over is relatively simple for most but not all pages. I'm looking at doing the whole thing.

The OoH Downloads page and GOTW/GOTW Archives are the most daunting to convert, but I plan to start with the OoH Downloads (it's next on the list).

I've updated the OoH Downloads and main (front) page with the new links, and put the MWC '08 Forums in the Forums section on the Mything Links page (thus you could do Links->MWC Forums to get their quickly).

I've also moved the MWC '08 link (to their main page) to the lower-left of the links for easier access.

OMAG order website: http://home.earthlink.net/~jstaten/html/omag.html

some sort of VR pool party tournament site: http://hem2.passagen.se/m3dkg/VRtour.htm

http://hem2.passagen.se/m3dkg/

maybe the main page of that tourny ? dunno ..disorienting with the huge ad banner.

SNAP [snap crackle die] order website: http://www.secretlair.com/snap/

MCC order website: http://www.madrigalcc.net/

A page for a map for Myth II [hint: there's another link on top of page] http://www.secretlair.com/gloom/restless_hollow/

Some random guys website from..1998 \= http://home.swipnet.se/~w-41510/

By the way..the last link as well as the "dwarf games" link ask for a password, but the site works fine if you hit cancel. Maybe the webmaster just messed up something.
