MWC2006 QR2 NP vs OøH

We lost 3-0.

They are good.

But they didn't even say goodbye, just left after game 3. Only one of them said gg's.

They get a 10 on gameplay, a 1.5 (out of 10) on personality.

I always felt it took the sting out of defeat a bit if people were at least polite.

I was rooting for OoH this afternoon, thought a win would be difficult against such a feared team, but thought possibly you guys could pull off a tie, or maybe even an upset on the desert map.

I almost think we did best on Calm, believe it or not. I haven't had a chance to watch the films yet, but Trow was like... Well...

I imagine it was something like what chunks of meat experience on their way to becoming hamburger.

No, wait...

Remember in Aliens - the second movie - when they're all down in the catacombs, cool and calm, marines coming to keek some you-know-what. Then suddenly comrades start vanishing in screaming fits of agony, slowing giving way to an overwhelming cacaphony of "They're EVERYWHERE!!!"

It was something like that.

Heh, I actually remember seeing someone actually SAY that during that game (viewed the chat log).

Didn't view the films yet, I unzipped them and them in my recordings folder but they aren't showing up in my list of recordings available to view. Probably I just have too many files in that folder or something,

I yelled that in the game. It was before they really were everywhere, but I just felt it coming. I was yelling it in Bob's voice, Bob from Marathon. Didn't bungie use the same voice when they say in the first solo level of M2 where we rescue a town from ghasts? "They're everywhere!"(quavering voice).

I believe it is Bob! I've only played a little Marathon, but recognized the voice - very funny - and something that would easily shake morale!

I heard you guys won Trow :(

BMW beat us 2-1 and the one we won was a stupid game (Miska who's ONLY JOB was to defend ignored a myrk eating 2 peasants then 'defended' our targets by making sure there was nothing left when the enemies arrived with a well placed mort shot), but you guys have a shot - lag was our big issue on Calm which we could have won by having all flags and maxing points.

I recommend you spread out and surround then on Calm since their weakness was orientating themselves to the most important part of the battle and they were struggling to support each other while we closed in. For Trow....watch out for their Trow - nothing much else they have was handled well.

If by won you mean "remains spread like butter on the hot toast of the desert". ;)

Good stuff, Elf - thanks. :)
