Ahh, the trickle-down theory. Did that work? I didn't feel it.

VR I wasn't whining...

I'm not in the mood to explain, there's some stuff you don't understand about me and I doubt you ever will but...yeah most people just don't understand what the point of me is or why I make many of the mistakes I do.

Let's be done with that topic and forget it.

Ringo Starr.

Does the downward spiral ever end? Is infinite, or does it finally terminate into the deepest levels of hell? (had to use the hell reference on 06/06/06)

Remember: FAN is short for fanantic.

Well the fans of fans thing would go along with my dread of the past few years that as technology makes 'content' easier to create everyone will have their own music-releases/talk shows/blogs/podcasts/etc and there will be no one left to just watch anything except each content/program will have a handful of people who read/listen/ to each other's 'programs'. This is what the whole blog/livejournal/myspace phenom seems largely like to me right now.

And I am not a big fan of corporate America (or Corporate Transnationalia) but I think at some point in the past the difficulty and expense involved in making good quality pop culture content (tv/movie/music) meant that most people who got past those difficulties had at least a reasonable amount of talent.

I guess I am feeling curmudgeonly today.

ps. For a fan who has fans of his own check out this page that mentions the phenomenon of "Beatle Bob". To give you an idea for how well known this guy is, a google search of 'Beatle Bob' finds 31,400 hits.

I am sure most of us share your feelings of not being completely understood at least from time to time.

I know I feel that way whenever I get slapped in the face by a hot chick who didn't understand that i am really charming and suave.

Don't worry too much Elf. We all get slapped around while being misunderstood. Sometimes I think this world is one big misunderstanding, like a Three's Company eposide, only everyone has guns and on a really bad acid trip. The real drama is getting the slap while being understood clear as the azure sky. Now that's painful.
