Project Magma is proud to announce the launch of the Myth Vault, a user driven myth multimedia website.

If you've ever wanted a place to host your screenshots, videos, films, posters, or any other myth related media this site is the answer your problems.

Check it, our, browse through some of the files, and maybe even upload some of your own.

Heh - great minds think alike...

Our original name for an OoH-based map repository was the "Myth Vault", and long ago I started setting up the "Myth Film Vault" as a sub-site of PlayMyth.net with Blade's help, but it didn't seem there would be enough interest.

Vinylrake and I both found that there was a previous incarnation of the Myth Vault way back on one of the original Myth sites - maybe even Bungie.net (VR would know) - and the skeleton of it may even still exist.

Like the idea of anything to store Myth stuff.

Our project is evolving in another direction and likely will be showing up by Summer (if my work schedule improves).

Indeed, it was a part of Bungie.net and was advertised to Mythers as a way of keeping the community going after Bungie closed the bungienet Myth II game server.

"The Myth Vault site will serve as a central location for the Myth game server development community, with a forum for people interested in discussing the code and the possibilities. In the future this site may also offer links to fan-run servers, leader boards, order databases, whatever — that's all up to you." -- Bungie, Feb 2002.

It went when they did the re-design Bungie's carried ever since. The present pages on Myth are horribly inadequate in comparison and the first page you come to includes a mistake already (it neglects to mention Myth III runs on MariusNet...not that anyone ever ever ever used it).
