PS III or XBOX 360

I've been looking at both systems for awhile now. I have had a PS and PS II for along time. I havent heard too many good things about the PS III. My kids like their XBOX, but XBOX 360 comes with XBOX LIVE for free.

Up in ALaska, The XBOX 360 Bundle runs about $450 average. The PS 3 is currently $599.

Im looking for Pro's and Con's on both systems. Anything you might be able to add or know of someone that likes or dislikes either system.

Thanks guys. Also, if I do go LIVE with either system, what games are you guys into that I can check out and maybe play online?

I know nothing of this, but if you posted in Bellisedes in Imperium people would be able to hep. I think Proc is lost in World of Warcraft, whichever one of those machines that runs on. So is St. Joan, and Tai sees them there. I think many of the Imp guys will have one of those systems or the other. Veevee was a Nintendo guy, he might tell you about the Wii.

I too know nothing about the pros and cons of either system other than the fact that locally the 360 goes for about $300 and the PSIII is over $500.

I am not a big MS fan, but having inherited an ancient original xBox system over the holidays I drool thinking how schweet the 360 must be. Plus of course since Myth was never ported to a console, having played Halo for way too many hours, I can definitively say it is one of the best console games ever. Until Halo I never even liked a First-Third person shooter style game.

ps. I am fast ethernet challenged so don't play console games online.

I think I am swaying towards the PSIII. I saw 2 cool racing games on there. Probably by 1 APril I will own one.

Buy a Nintendo Wii AND an XBox360. Why? Both of them cost as much as a PS3.

Wii's got the revolutionary new style of play, nice price, masses of exclusives and unique touches. Also got the best downloadable content.

360's got the mainstream market cornered, the best online multi-player and is eating up all of PS' former system exclusives.

What's PS3 got? Graphics slightly better than a 360, a gimmicky motion sensor system that shamelessly rips off the Wii and doesn't do it right, the same controller that the PS1 had (which was based on the Nintendo SNES originally) which is known for sort of working ok, Wipeout and GT are the last major exclusives I believe. Oh and it's hell for developers to make use of.

Well that makes sense. But, also my 11 year old son has a few friends that own the PSIII and they say its not worth it.

So, I will be buying an XBOX 360 either tomorrow or this weekend. The first game I want to get is LOST WORLD.

Who else is playing XBOX games on LIVE and what are you playing?? I havent played over the network yet on either system. Im looking forward to trying it.

Well, I bought it. Been playing LOST PLANET for a few days. Graphics and game play are awesome. I just hooked up XBOX LIVE. Will probably try that out tomorrow.

Sorry I havent been around lately. I was on last friday night for a bit. Ive been on XBOX LIVE alot. A couple of my friends are playing HALO2 and Ive been playing LOST PLANET alot.

Ive been monitoring the forums and keeping synced.

Good choice, XBox360 + Nintendo Wii = same cost as a PS3. It's hardly rocket science to see how overpriced a PS3 is.

yeah, true. I really wanted that game, MOTORSTORM. Thats the only game so far that caught my eye. I just couldnt find anything more that convinced me the PSIII is worth it.
