2002/11/11:  Well, we decided to let the cards fall naturally and we hit Game 999!!  This means our very next game is Game 1000!!

Vote for your map and game of choice for this historic event! My suggestion right now is one of these:

               · Hedgerow ~ Wacky ~ Bacon or KoH
               · Broken Arrow ~ Slugfest ~ Bacon or KoH
               · Red Sands ~ Dwarven ~ Bacon or KoH
               · Picket Fences ~ Dwarf Riot ~ Bacon or KoH

Small turnout on Saturday, but some excellent games among the 18 (!) we played! Notable for the night was a picture-perfect Bacon Steal by HS on Wasteland! Nice!

Rumor has it that the
~OoH~ is destined to be joined by a new Member any day now - we'll keep you posted!

Hope to see you for Game 1000! :D

2002/11/06:  We are *rapidly* approaching our 1000th (!) Official Game!  Now that we have reached 981 Official Games it could be next Match - although my guess is two Matches from now. It sure would be *great* to have all six of us for that one! ;)

Some sad news: For the first time since our 2nd Match way back in August of 2000, we lost a couple of films... :(
Baak's computer seems to be having a very hard time saving films and even the AutoSaver couldn't help as the Last Recording coming from Myth was *really tweaked*!! But, luckily for us all, NKI saved the day - literally - by saving 15 of the 17 Games!! Kudos to NKI!! :D

(Note: If you try to view one of the missing films from the Film Paks you will be watching it forever, as it is only a "placeholder" film with a film header and the game will never end! lol!)

Baak has done some cleaning up of the site, hopefully making it easier to navigate as well as quicker - let him know if you can't get stuff or if things look weird - and let him know if it's looking good! ;) Added some new stuff here and there - little things - pictures, added links, etc.

Oh, and the Battle Plan has been modified a bit - although Leggo II is still "in" until we play a couple of Team Games at least (and one or two with the Scooby Mystery Machine!!)

Enjoy!! :D

2002/10/27:  Well, the big question remains: where is Kaor? It was a strange Match this week, with some very unusual Teams - but we didn't play enough Team Games to get the SS&A Awarded. However, the Shield of Honor was extremely close! NKI, TS and Baak got in a couple of fast and furious Leggo games (prepare for Team Leggo next time!). TS and Baak also got in some late night Co-ops that were really fun! Baak went back through the SoH Stats and cleaned them up, updating the July 13th and 20th Matches to correspond to the SS&A ones. We're rapidly approaching the mystical Game 1000 (964 so far) - only two or three Matches away now! :)

2002/10/20:  We missed TS last night! - (as well as NKI and Kaor of course!) and you guys sure missed a HS Hot Streak! Wow! If it weren't for Baak catching VR on a sleepless night, HS might well have taken the Shield! (Better keep an eye on this guy!) All the usual updates have been posted, as well as one new map (at least for HS and perhaps VR): Leggo II Arena. I've also posted a link in the Battle Plan to the Leggo II Manual - be sure to read it (it's short) or you'll be completely lost! Also I highly recommend playing one or two multiplayer games by yourself to get the hang of it. It's a VERY COOL MAP!! Be ready to play on it next week! :D

2002/10/16:  Well, Baak has returned and thanks to much diligence on everyone's part we managed to save all the films of the games played since August 31! Nice! :D And, in typical H'Pak fashion, we played twice this past weekend (to make up for - well - just because we wanted to actually!). Funny thing is, 61 games were played while Baak was gone, and we played 30 games this past weekend! lol! (OK, we're seriously addicted). All the Matches were great, but this past Saturday was just plain outstanding! Dang are we having fun or what?!? Now if we can just get Dan to play... ;)

Check out the
GOTW winners in the 10th Archive as well as the Game of the Week Archives (for the most recent ones). The Match on the 12th was so good that picking a Game of the Week winner was really hard!! You know, VR is seriously kicking our derrières in the The Shield of Honor Award and it is good to see the Purple and Blue flying proud on The Sacred Sword & Axe - very close competition for both Awards this week!

The "Q" Incident was downright spooky and even spookier is the fact that one of the most bizarre Sacred Sword & Axe winning teams of all times has now been recorded: VR/Q!! Funk¹º!!!

And we are rapidly approaching our 1000th game after reaching
937 Official Games! Woohoo!

2002/09/04:    After nearly 150 Official Games - and after exchanging the necessary paperwork (lol!) - we welcome Vinylrake as an Official Member of the Order of H'Pak!! :D

2002/08/31:    We finally did it!! *Six-way FFA* and *two teams of three!!* WOW!! :)
And we played our *500th* Steal the Bacon game!!! (I don't know about you, but I need some eggs!)
Add a healthy helping of
home-cooked FUNK with a tie *both* for The Sacred Sword & Axe *and* The Shield of Honor!! Whoa! Check it out on the H'Pak Honor Trophies page! To top it off, this week's Game of the Week was a FFA 6 game as well!! Baak is going to take a few weeks off, so be sure to install the Film AutoSaver (it's easy to use!) and e-mail him a zip of *all* the H'Pak Films while he's away!! (Grab your copy in Baak's Downloads). Have FUN Everyone!! Game On!! :D

2002/08/24:    We tied the RECORD!! 20 Games in one night!! And the Game of the Week was started at 4:02am (!) ET (aka VR time!!) OMG!  You know we must be having fun!! Excellent playing by everyone last night - and at one point The Challenge of The Shield of Honor was this close:
a four-way, two-game-each tie!! But then someone (who will remain nameless) won three in a row to take it!! Find out more on the Honor Trophies page. We had several really intense games, including a 2 minute 41 second Sudden Death!! - and the Game of the Week was insanely close!! Grab the Film Pak in the Hall of Records and check 'em all out!!

2002/08/17:  It's our 75th Anniversary!!  Yes, over the course of the past two years, we have played 75 Matches!! Yowza!! We added another 19 (!excellent games last night, with five of us playing. Now we just need to get the elusive SIX again - soon...!! Congrats to - well, I'll keep it a secret for now (muhaha) - you'll just have to go to the Honor Trophies page to see who won!! ;)
Also grab yer red-hot films of the Match in the Hall of Records - you might have missed some!

2002/08/15:  Holy Cow! It's Official! Baak's GOTW Time-Traveling Madness IS COMPLETE!!
Yes, you heard it - EVERY GOTW all the way back to the very first Official Game is COMPLETE!!
Revel in this monumental achievement
by visiting
the Game of the Week Archives and peruse all the way back to Archive #1, A1 (which contained some outstanding games by the way!). That makes 74 GOTWs (and thus 74 Matches) so far! Wow!! Now the only remaining task is cleaning up some of the Film Paks (most likely just combining them all into one huge Pak), and polishing up some of the Game Summaries (some are missing, some are in the old format). Enjoy!! And thanks to EVERYONE for making so many excellent GOTWs!! :)

2002/08/13:  It was two years ago today (2000/08/13) that we played our first Official H'Pak Game! In honor of this special occasion, Baak continues his time-traveling madness even further (see the 2002/08/10 entry below) by going back through another EIGHT Matches in the Game of the Week Archives (see Archive #2, A2). This leaves only eight more to go! OMG!! And of course, we have a new Game of the Week from the 08/10 Match! Nicely done: NKI, HS, & TS!! Great Game!! :)

2002/08/10:  Our two-year anniversary is 2002/08/13 and we hit Official Game #801 tonight!!
In honor of this special occasion, Baak continues his time-traveling madness by going back through another SIXTEEN Matches from before the first-ever Official GOTW (thanks to TS for the original GOTW idea!!) - which was the October 26, 2001 Match. Baak has uncovered some really interesting games! The GOTW Archives menu has been streamlined to access the previous Archives - which go backwards in time to Archive #1 (Archive #1 and #2 are the only ones left to finish - 16 more GOTWs! OMG!!). Go to the Game of the Week Archives and select Archive #3 (A3) and #4 (A4) to see the new listings! And as if that weren't enough for your H'Pak Gaming pleasure, how about two new additions to the H'Pak Hall of Fame!! One for Kaor and one for TS!! (They are sorted by date - oldest first - so NKI's Deathmatch HELL! (ROFL!!) gets bumped to the end for now). Enjoy!! :D

2002/08/03:  Great Match!! We brought back a much-loved map, Sleepy Hollow, and played several great games on it!! We did a Team rematch of NKI & TS versus BaakVR - and The Juggernaut continues... Congratulations to TS for taking The Shield of Honor - NICE Assassinations TS!!
There's a new download in the Hall of Records that includes the latest H'Pak Chat and Player Colors in HTML format (as a zip download) - created with the yet-to-be-released next version of
Baak's Film Renamer & Cataloger!! Great games All!!

2002/07/27:  It's another RECORD!! 6 of us played together tonight! OMG! Yet another great Match! We played all kinds of Team combinations, and had some fantastic Team and FFA games!! Congratulations to NKI for taking The Shield of Honor - NICE!! BaakVR were unstoppable in Team Games and take The Sacred Sword & Axe despite VR's sleep deprivation! :) Great games everyone!!

2002/07/20:  It's a RECORD!! 20 Games in one night! OMG! And these were some great games! The Random Teams this week were identical to last time, and although BaakVRHS were hammering NKI & TS at the start, NKI & TS had a three-in-a-row comeback that brought it down to one game that decided it! NICE!! Baak was hot in FFA tonight, and NKI came back with a couple of wins at the very end of the night... Great games!

2002/07/13:  Dang! Yet another great set of games tonight! We tried an experimental "set teams for the Match" and it worked really well. We're still tweaking The Honor Trophies of Shaal'a Manx until we get it just right. Vinylrake was awarded The Shield of Honor this week - congratulations! And of course another outstanding GOTW was added to the list! Great games!

2002/07/11:  Whew! Went through and updated the Game of the Week Archives - we now are up to date and added six new ones! Also posted the final version of the Server Swapper (v1.1) to MythMaps (and of course Baak's Downloads) - check it out! HS, NKI and Baak got in a couple this week and TS joined us late for a marathon Homeland II session - Great games!

2002/07/04:  Happy 4th of July!! Haven't had a chance to update the site in a while! We've been playing almost every week though, and Vinylrake has been our Special Guest throughout. We sure are racking up the games - and great ones too! - 716 Official Games to date!! I've given the site a bit of a face-lift and am still working on updating all the Game of the Week Archives (I've also put eight on a page instead of 16). Be sure to check out our new Shaal'a Manx Shield of Honor!! That reminds me - we have a new Battle Plan which includes several maps we've played before - and yes, they all come off the H'Pak Greatest Hits CD which means no uncompressing or CD searching required! Game On!!

2002/05/18:  Well it was a bit quiet tonight... HS got some good practice with Baak, especially playing a little one-on-one! TS joined in and we had time for one good 3-way FFA, which was the GOTW. TS and Baak then went on to play a couple of quick 2-way FFAs, including a fun - and *very close* - Flag Rally game on Vinylrake's "The Quad 2". Baak jumped on PlayMyth just to see what it's all about (looks good but lot's of rankers), and then decided to brave it and played some Myth TFL on Marius Net!! Whoa! :) Great games! Baak also added an H'Pak Game Catalog to the Hall of Records, and updated and added to the Myth and other Gaming Links.

2002/05/04:  OMG! All FIVE of us played together tonight! :) We *almost* won a five-way co-op on The Great Library (Heroic), and HS won his very first FFA game! Nice going! TS & NKI take back The Sacred Sword & Axe and we got in some fun FFA's to boot! We also decided to "thin out" the Battle Plan as some of our extra lag tonight may have been due to too many maps :( Looks like we're actually going to take a couple of weeks off (as a break), so hope to see you mid-May! :)

2002/04/26:  HS just keeps getting better and better! Practice makes poifect! TS and NKI joined in time to get a practice team game in against BaakHS - and it's a good thing it was practice! lol! Then TS, NKI and Baak played a BUNCH of GREAT FFA's (and boy did TS and Baak get into it! lol!), followed by a stab at CoD: Banks of the Ire (may be the last stab, too!). In fact, the three of us finally stopped almost four hours later at 1:48 am MT! GREAT GAMES!! :)

2002/04/19:  HS got some more good co-op practice in this weekend, including a win on Willow Creek and Salvation, and a near-win on Down a Broken Path. NKI joined in as well for some 3-way co-op and helped with a win on The Wall. Then NKI and Baak decided to take on CoD: Banks of the Ire and ended up playing all night! lol! ...The elusive win has yet to happen on that one! It's TOUGH!

2002/04/12:  We got some more good training in for HS this week on The Wall and The Great Library, and *just missed* having five players for the first time! Some great Team Games this week as Baak & Kaor defend The Sacred Sword & Axe one more time! Finally NKI, TS, and Baak end on a great co-op of The Great Library at Heroic Difficulty - using Rocket Dwarfs! lol!

2002/04/06:  TS, NKI and Baak only played a handful (6) - but they were fun!! Including the GOTW which was on the never-before-played Titus Groan! Great Games!

2002/03/29:  The Order of H'Pak welcomes it's newest member: HedgeSnake! We managed to get him into two good practice multiplayer games this weekend, and we're looking forward to many more games in the days ahead! TS and Baak got in some good co-op games including Bushido - Ouishiana Temples (Solo) - which was a lot of fun! Baak also played a few on Marius Net and even won a couple! And Baak tried Bushido "ShidoBlighter" (Bushido units on Myth 2 Standard Maps) including The Wall and The Stair of Grief! (all in the film pack for this week).

2002/03/23:  Kaor and Baak defend The Sacred Sword & Axe in our first team games since February 17th. We also played some great co-op games, including The Wall (Would you believe this was our first ever 4-way co-op?!), The Great Library (with Rocket Dwarfs!), and Gate of Storms (also with Rocket Dwarfs!) - Great fun!!

2002/03/08:  NKI, TS and Baak had some fun FFA games this week - that were ALL either Rocket Dwarf or Sak Cannon games! Oh yeah!! Then we got into playing co-op, completing a Legendary Willow Creek - which unfortunately didn't get saved! :( Once we started on the Stair of Grief we eventually decided to try Rocket Dorfs... This little adventure culminated in an amazing triumph (the GOTW) that we started at 2:22 AM MT!! :)

2002/03/01:  Well, we missed NKI this week but still managed some great FFA games! A couple of close ones - especially the first Broken Arrow game (worth watching) - and a classic Pathfinder battle on Return to StoneHeart (watch TS and Baak become visible as they stand right next to each other by accident! Woooo Doggie!)

2002/02/22:  Wow! Another 14 fantastic games! We introduced two new excellent maps: "Twister v1.2" and "Broken Arrow", and played the new Dwarf Rockets 2 on maps like "Return to StoneHeart" - which was soooo fun!! We also introduced a new "one minute truce" rule for Dwarf Rockets to give players a chance to get off their starting positions on small maps. ::winks at TS::

2002/02/18:  I think we might like this game: we played 24 games this weekend! And that doesn't include a couple of "dead" games or the extra games that TS & NKI played! We're talking three nights in a row! Man we had some outstanding games this week, including a couple of good Rocket Dorf Co-ops! Which reminds me: Baak's got a new modified Dwarf Rockets plugin (under the Battle Plan). Baak and Kaor take back The Sacred Sword & Axe as well. Some exceptional films this time - enjoy!!

2002/02/09:  Some of us just couldn't wait for the weekend! TS, NKI and Baak got their mid-week "fix" with six great games (including the GOTW); TS and Baak played some wild Co-op with Rocket Dorfs on Landing at White Sands (on Legendary!!); and finally Kaor, TS and Baak got in another six games to round out the week! A couple of funny films in there - check 'em out!!

2002/02/02:  Well it was definitely another NoTerdI night! We tried a whole bunch of new maps which were really fun! Kaor hung in there again, and we managed a few extra FFA games after that. There's also a rumor floating around that we may have a new Order Member joining the ranks - as soon as we get him up to speed! Nothing quite like Initiation by Fire!! :)

2002/01/25:  Well it was definitely a NoTerdI night as NKI and TS wiped out Baak and Kaor in straight sets, thus taking back The Sacred Sword & Axe. Kaor hung in there until the wee hours (Eastern Time) which made for the most team games played in recent history. Thanks Kaor!

2002/01/20:  NKI and Baak played a total of 21 games (!) in two nights and had a chance to test out Baak's UnitMods, SpiderThrall, and for those brave souls: the SpiderWight!!

2002/01/11:  We finally played "The Wild West" and were not disappointed! Wow, what a great map!! And we revisited another great map: "Leggo II: Arena". Along with "Baron's Backyard" which is nothing less than pure eye candy! Another 16 GREAT games!!

2002/01/05:  Although Kaor wasn't feeling completely up-to-par, he showed his fervent love of the game by hanging in there for two team games which Team Baak/Kaor won! After that, NKI, TS, and Baak stayed up into the wee hours of the night playing another 11 GREAT games!

2002/01/01:  **HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!** What do you think we did over the Holidays? That's right! We sang Carols! ...Nah, we chalked up 27 more games!! Check out the Summary and some really outstanding games, including the awesome map "Tamaerlin"! We also hit Game #500!!

2001/12/22:  **MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!** We only had time for four games, but they were fun! Although the "Battle Arena" game (Demolition Arena) was incredibly close, "A Very Idiot Christmas" won out as GOTW because it was the first time a game ended with everyone dead!

2001/12/14:  Well it was definitely Team TS/NKI's night tonight!! They more than earned the honor of bearing The Sacred Sword & Axe of Shaal'a Manx!

2001/12/07:  Wow!! Was the Match on the 7th fun or what?!? It took me two hours to view the films and write up the Summary! There were four "runner-ups" for the Game of the Week too! Would you believe TS and Baak ended up playing for six hours?!! LOL!!
